Servowarm Elite 50 Boiler Programmer?

I am trying to obtain a Boiler Programmer for my Servowarm Elite 50 Boiler.

The Boiler was fitted 25 years ago and is still working perfectly albeit I can have it On or Off as I cannot programme the timer
Alan B, September 2008
Get an electrician to hard wire the programmer out; wire in a three pin socket to take a 24 hour time (Argos), run a cable to a thermostat, worked perfectly for the last 16 years.

We need a new relay for ours...does anyone have one for sale???

Lisa, April 2013
Scrap the origional timer and hard wire in a 24 hour clock (Argos, B and Q, etc.), these will switch on and off several times a day.

Ernie T., January 2012
Take the origional timer out and hard wire in a 24-hour clock that has half a dozen on-off settings; these are obtainable from Argos or most diy shops. Mine has been switched like this for 12 years.

Hi Kev.
Clock conversion kit now discontinued.
About the only thing you can get for the old elite is a thermocouple and the pump. if the boiler has already been coverted then any programmer will do, depending if its on a selector valve (single channel) or mid pos valve (twin channel).

hi i too have the same boiler as you had mine just over 27 years ago same problem too, think the parts are no longer available as i was told 3 years ago to just run it out which it did at the start of this very cold winter .having new one off n power who have taken over servowarm been a great boiler certainly been well worth the money

as far as i am aware the only spares available for the elite boilers are the high limit stats

I have the complete used boiler with all parts except the flue & outer case for sale there is also a spare relay brand new.

I have an Elite 50 Boiler and the programmer has stopped working - Servowarm, now Homeserve, came out to look at it and they've said that the parts are no longer available and that I will have to get a new boiler. Is this the case or is it possible to fix a different make of programmer to it? I know absolutely nothing about boilers!

I have a replacement programmer which is approx 8 months old. This was installed when my old mechanical clock packed in. Basically it is a Danfoss TS715 single channel time switch. (Programmer).
When the timer was installed by Homeserve a metal box which contains all the wiring and electronics to convert the unit was first mounted in place of the mechanical timer and wired to the mains and pump etc. The Danfoss programmer was then mounted on the box and connected with three wires. It worked a treat an much better than the old mechanical one.
This conversion cost me £90 (parts only)
On Thursday I had a new combi boiler fitted and have salvaged both the programmer and the metal box, unfortunately the plumber disconnected the programmer from the metal box and cut the the cables leading to the pump mains etc.. I dare say any leccy or plumber worth their salt will know how to wire this unit up.
I have also salvaged the rest of the boiler ('Elite 50' minus the pump and case- everything was in perfect working order. To be honest the only reason I changed the unit was because of additional radiators which would have put too much strain on the old unit.

So if you or anyone else interested, make me an offer.

the elite mechanical clock unit had a bi-metal type pump over run unit. this was superseded by a small pcb mounted in a separate unit that was fitted behind the clock and had a clock mounting plate behind it i am not sure whether they are still available. i can give you the servowarm no if if you wish
