Celsia 24LE keeps tripping?

My 24LE frequently needs resetting. I've drained and flushed the heating system, which made no difference. When the system 'trips', the pump continues to send water (cold) through the rads, so it looks as if the boiler thinks it is overheated. Also, when topping up the water pressure, the pressure guage is very slow to react - it can take 10 or 15 minutes to give a 'true' reading.
Does this sound like a new circuit board is required? Faulty sensor? I'm trying to fix the boiler as replacing is well outside my budget at the moment.
Many thanks.

It's an overheat. Lots of stuff can cause this, not necessarily a pcb.

If you are sure the pump is running strongly (remove pump cap and try to stop it with a screwdriver - yes there will be water!), make sure your flow pipe is getting hot - i.e. make sure the heat is leaving the boiler and you aren't getting any kind of restriction in your ch system. You are looking for around an 11 degree differential between flow and return.

Worth checking out that primary sensor too, can do this if you have a multimeter. Also check overheat stat has not failed.

Please be careful - if you decide to check the pump, cover the pcb box with a towel, and be aware that there is 240v to that pump.

Both the CH and HW demand lights flash red slowly. The burner light stays off.
Thanks again

Don, when it "trips" what lights flash on the front and how often?
