The Motor does not turn and the timer does not advance exept when it has been manually turned to near the end of the program, it will then advance the last stage to end the program. Whilst carrying out the above the drum moved very slightly, but only once during 15min of investigation. Some clicking (presumably from the timer) was also heard once but without any movement of either the motor or the timer.

The brushes are OK, I replaced them approx 1 year ago, commutator also looks OK. Any info on checking motor windings at the terminal block would be appreciated.

does this have a seperate motor control pcb at the back bottom lefthand corner (looking from the front).if so this may be faulty or if the motor control is part of the timer then that could be faulty.check the tacho in the motor hasn't come out as this causes motor issues.
