when you press the button to start it it cuts out after a couple of seconds but if you keep your hand on the button it works fine hot or cold any answers

yep mine did put a larger fuse in if its tripping at the fuse box if its cutting out at the shower its normaly buggered, but it could be a sloe water supply ,(loew pressure, what happens is the heater unit goes, normally when its cold weather as it has to work harder to heat the colder water
