Broken catch on FJ 1295?

On a finished cycle the door catch has broken is there a way of opening the door or getting the laudry out. Machine is probably too old to repair

take lid off and push the catch inwards from inside the cabinet.plastic handle will of broken.cheap repair compared to a new one
