How do i get the display in my Vauxhall Corsa to work?

I have an M reg Vauxhall Corsa GLS, i have taken out the factory fitted stereo and replaced it with a Pioneer CD Player, it works fine, but the seperate display in the console which displays date/time/temp no longer lights up. Can anyone please give any suggestions to how i can get it to work. Many thanks in advance. Moe.

Bad luck Moe. You can't. The only way to do it is to fit a stereo that is compatible with the display (VDO 441XED) or fit an interface to your pioneer if there is one available. Vauxhall do not do this interface, i have already checked, so you will need to consult your local ICE specialist. Sorry for the bad news.
