How can I fix my Thomson DT16300 digital tv recorder?

The unit does not do anything and the red warning light on the front is flashing rapidly, the unit will not respond to any commands from the remote and the symptoms are the same when switched off and on again. This has just happened and it was working OK up till then.

No, there is no repair, just spoke to them. Power supply has failed and box will have to be replaced

Don't buy Thomson they are rubbish, December 2008

If you phone TopupTV on 01592 587244 they will talk you through the procedure to correct this, using certain buttons on the remote. It failed to work on our box the second time it happened so the box had to be replaced.
