What fuse should be in the boiler socket?

I've come to put my heating on and there is no power to the boiler, I noticed the red light on my socket had went out so i've been out to buy a new fuse 5amp (is this right) when i've put the fuse in and turned it on it blew.

Can you please confirm that it should be a 5amp fuse

Thanks in advance

What fuse came out? A 5amp fuse presumably else why would you select a 5A as a replacement. If it's popping fuses then you have a fault - do not be tempted to use a fuse of a rating higher than that specified in the user manual. Call an expert.
