miele w723 problem?

My Miele W723 washing machine will not wash anything, all that happens is when switched on the cycle dial on the right turns quickly whilst making a clicking noise, this does not stop until you switch the power off.It sounds like water is going in to the machine but th e clothes are completely dry when checked and the washing powder is still in the tray.

You may need to totally clean out all the trays and pipes/filters and inlet/outlets as they get filled with gunk over time. Look in your manual and it has a section dedicated to how to clean your W723. This may be whats preventing the water going in the machine. Once the machine is cleaned and water fills the machine but it won't turn/wash or spin when placed on cycle, you may then require new carbon brushes for the motor. Also check your belts and pulleys.
