What are the problems of the Philips dvd recorders I hear so many complaints about the recorders not working i.e no disc when disc is in tray same with empty disc, disc error there seems to be so many. is this product of poor qhality.
Won't play discs of any kind,Locks up,won't record,now on my third Philips dvdr80 during the warranty period.Runs out next week! Anyone want to buy one???

Apart from performance and reliability, I'd take a Panasonic DVD recorder over a Philips, just for the reason they are user friendly.
