pen drive is not showing any drive?

my 4 GB pen drive is not showing any drive and the light is also not blinking. when i insert the pen drive into the p c there will be an drive H is showing but when i attempt to open or explore it ask to insert the disk in drive H. Please if anyone knows how to repair this problem help me. there is an very important data in that pen drive.

hi friend ,ur pendrive is not open and there have same importent data don`t take worry, u restart ur pc thenafter pc is being starting u shortly press F2 or F8 in different pc,then display four and five option and u choose safe mode option then press, ur take some time to starting pc then u see ur pendrive in my computer ,all data cut from the pendrive and save any drive ,then after u restart ur pc
and format ur pendrive

The new USB pen drive installation mechanism on XP machines works with two files stored in the Windows/Inf (Hidden Folder) folder: usbstor.inf and usbstor.pnf.
To disable this function, you must deny access to the "System" built-in user group for the XP machine.
However, on large networks, changing the permissions for these two files on each individual machine is a hassle. However, you can easily incorporate these permissions into your log-on script as shown below:
cd\

cd c:\windows\inf
echo|y cacls usbstor.inf /p system:n
echo|y cacls usbstor.pnf /p system:n
Now any new USB pen drives connected to the PCs will not be automatically installed. To enable access, you will have to change the n's in the script to f's.
