The burners have started burning with the flame too yellow and sooty and not enough heat generated. What might the problem be and any ideas where I can get it serviced in YO21 area?
I have exactly the same problem on one burner. It used to be ok, now there are yellow flames so I stopped using it.

Have the correct gas jets for lpg been set up correctly? The aeration should be set to burn with a clean blue flame and no yellow or soot whatsoever. Also blocked or clogged burner airways can cause this and may need cleaning. Contact batagas in york, they may be able to help you as they sell and service calor gas appliances(they are a calor main dealer)

Check that you have the correct burner covers fitted, if you removed them for cleaning and put them back on the wrong burner the flame will burn yellow

Yellow flame = danger from carbon monoxide poisioning. (Death)
Stop using and call specialist.
At the very least if you must use it have windows open and try to clean the air holes in the burners.
