I have a similar if not the same problem. One day it worked fine, the next no picture. I disassembled the screen surround and basically found that there is a ribbon cable from the body of the player to the screen. When moved I had a picture. Therefore, the ribbon-cable has a break, as this is located in the right hand side hinge point, I guess a new cable is needed. Anyone have any ideas where they can be found (in Canada preferably).
