potterton suprima 70?

flashing green light and the will not get hot
garry matthews, October 2008
HELP.
I have a potterton Suprima 70. We had the pcb replaced when we moved in about 3 yrs ago.
Basically, when the hot water is due to come on, it keeps clicking on then off, but won't stay on.
If the heating comes on at the same time then it seems to work ok.
The hot water, if left will eventually light and come on by itself. This can take 20 mins or longer.

I have had a Potterton Suprima 70 since 2001. In 9-years it has had 3 new PCBs, the last being replaced in Jan 2010.
For some reason (I can only think cost) it's the last item Service Contract Companies (Brit Gas Homecare for instance) want to replace!
Seems to me whenever there is a problem with this model boiler it always points to the PCB....but Potterron will not admit this is a common occurence.

we have had two circuit boards on our boiler but the heating just does not come on in the afternoon anymore without switching it off at the mains
