LG Tromm washer OE error display?

My washer stops, beeps, emits an OE error message. This is not addressed in my original DVD "instructions".

Cleaned the trap in panel on front lower section and put back in the trap and it works perfectly!

I had a piece of plastic that was blocking the filter. I removed that and mine worked again just fine.

I had to bail the water out in order to get the weight down so I could move the machine. I removed the back panel to gain access to the pump then removed the hoses and bolts holding the pump in. As I was turning the pump to lift it out one of the wires fell out. Turned out that the wire was cut most of the way through when the crimp on connector was crimped. Installed a new connector and reassembled. All works fine.

having the same problem. have cleaned it and taken it apart but still not working. the pump sounds like it is making a grinding noise when it is suppose to be working. I'm thinking about buying a new pump

i have had the same problem, the filter housing was clear and no blockage anywhere, so i removed the pumps and housing from the machine, then i removed both pumps from the filter housing, each pump has three screws, once removed you can seperate the green impellor from its housing, behind there was aload of slim/sludge once cleaned and dryed and put back together the machine works fine. both pumps need to be cleaned.

OE error LG Tromm
I opened up left front panel and in anticipation of all the water backed up, I taped up a plastic garbage bag to catch the water. Turns out I needed 3 bags to catch all the water that came out and it saved my basement floor from getting soaked!

I then cleaned out the gray gunk and removed the bobby pin that got stuck and pulled out the white cap on the tube to the left of the cap and made sure it wasn't clogged. Everything is working fine now. The whole fix took about 15 minutes.

Thanks!

I had this same issue but my filter/trap was pretty clean. With my washer being in the garage, I was able to turn it on it's side and remove the pump and drain hoses. All of the hoses were clear but the pump, once removed from the plastic housing that connects all of the drain tubes and the pump, had a disgusting black gritty water drain out from behind the impeller. After I disconnected the wires from it I took it outside and shook the rest of the dirty water out and then sprayed it with a lot of WD40 behind the impeller (fan) where the dirty water was. I did that and let it drain and did it a few more times. I reinstalled and it has worked ever since. I can't say if that's how it was supposed to be done, only that it worked for me.

on the front lower left there is a panel. Pry it open from the top. Unscrew the large black round cap. Be prepared for water to rush out. There is a trap to clean out. To the left there is a rubber hose with a plug in the end. Remove plug and see if hose is clogged. Clean it out. Replace and it should run. If not, try blowing through the discharge hose in the back to make sure all is clear. If not??

You probably need to clean the drain plug at the bottom of the machine. All kinds of goodies get stuck in there blocking the drain.

DT, January 2009
OE error on an LG machine is not draining. Probably something stuck in the pump or pump impellor broken off.
