We have a 70's fitted gas boiler which heats hot water only or hot water and central heatibn together. I bled the radiators and now the hot water won't heat. Is there any way to solve this?

sounds like you have blockage, check header tank if tank empty ball valve stuck, if tank full then follow pipework from bottom of tank to hot water cylnder where pipes meet is where blockage is this is common in older systems but will require corgi engineer to rectify as any mistakes will cause serious water damage.
