ford audio 6006e?

The radio on my unit is dead. Before it died the radio was ok for 15/20 mins, untill the signal started to drift..The radio channels were mixed up and becomes a noisy mush. The cd works fine.I,ve checked all the connection and tried another Ford unit in my car. This unit works fine.

There are a few things that can cause this, dry solder joints or leaking capacitors. Both require skills in surface mount soldering and component testing and can be an expensive repair.

Peter,
You are not alone. This has just happened to my 6006e, same symptoms - same results - hope you get an answer.
