My mantel clock is striking to early how do i rectify?

How do i rectify my striking mantel clock that is chiming 5 to the hour and 25 past the hour instead of on the hour and half past?

A lot of these clocks also have a square hole in the hand, if you have this then you just take off the screw or pin and take off the long hand and then put it back on at the right position.

If the clock is less than 40 years old it should have a bushing on the minute hand. Take the hand off, hold the bushing with pliers and move the hand on the bushing slightly. Put back on and test. Continue this until you have it set. If it does not have a bushing, you will have to have a clock repairman adjust the clock.
