I bought this model at a second hand store without a remote and it worked fine. After getting a universal remote I pressed menu and then pressed A/V setting. Now I can not get it to go back to the TV setting. Is the problem with the remote or the T.V.? What can I do to get back to the TV setting?

To remove the ++:++ time flashing just press the volume down and the channel down buttons at the same time.

It's the remote. I have the same model. They are really nice little TV. I have a similar problem where I can not take the channel and date off the screen because my kids broke the remote. The replacement remote takes me to the settings but I can not change anything else. The original remote had a button to turn off the screen display but the replacement ones do not or they don't work with that model. Try and get the original remote from on line. I am looking for an OEM remote for mine as I write this.
