My Indesit DI 67 is 21 months old and has just packed up!!?

My Indesit DI 67 which I bought to replace a cheap dishwasher (it lasted 5 years) has stopped working after just 20 months (didn't take the extra care policy - add £250 for that!). Three days ago the rinse aid light kept flashing even when full; then two days ago the RCD trip went off 3 times during programme 1; then it stopped on rinse cycle during programme 2; now it won't reset and keeps flashing on the rinse cyle green light, and starts making a whirring noise after about 20 seconds. Won't wash on any cycle at all. Is this worth repairing or should I just go an get a cheap new one - any answers appreciated.

O joy!!!! My dishwasher has come back to life! I did check the float switch, but that was fine. I went on loads of internet sites and decided to do what a lot of people advised. I tipped it on it's side, I rolled it right over and took the base off. I checked all the hoses and filters. I even left it upside down for a few days. But even after all that it still didn't work. Couldn't afford a new so left it and switched it all off. Then four weeks later, my wife decided to turn it on . . . IT WORKED, and it's been working ever since. I reckon some moisture got in somewhere and shorted something out. It appears that it has dried out and "touch wood" everything is A OK!. Anyone out there with the same problem - don't dump the dishwasher until you are sure it won't work again. Leave it awhile and try again. Many thanks for you replies

have you tried checking that the float switch in the bottom has triped because of water in the base
