i have a volkera linea 24 boiler it comes on for about 3 seconds goes out relights goes out and so on

Sounds like the thermocoupler is knackered. On Ebay they will cost about a tenner, not difficult to do yourself. A plumber/heating engineer should charge no more than an hour for labour.
