I have no audio on my Toshiba Laptop. Please help me get it back?

I have no audio on my toshiba laptop. When I click on the speaker on the bottom-right hand corner it says no audio output device is installed. Please help me solve this problem.

Try, right clicking on the speaker icon, bottom right hand side of the screen, near the clock. Is the sound muted or turned down to minimum?

Or go to the Control panel in the start menu. click the icon that says Sounds, or Audio Devices, check the settings on everything in there (it varies depending upon which operating system you are using. Right click the speakers you are using and left click properties. make sure that nothing is muted.

If none of that works, in the control panel, (in hardware or sounds and hardware) check the Device manager that all the drivers are working okay. There will be a red X if any of them are faulty. Clicking or double clicking will bring up the driver properties and if it is not running correctly, there will be the option to run the trouble shooter.

If you are using external speakers, try turning them on at the switch!

I hope that helps
