I need help with my clarion pu2294?

Hi, I have just got a second hand car and was given a pu 2294 B and i was given a code to make it work but i'm not sure if it's the right code as the stereo has end on it and i can't get a code in it. Can anyone tell me how to get this off the screen or is it terminal. Please help
