hi all i have an old n reg transit van and the ball joint on the drivers side has gone.what i need to no is .is it an easy job to fix ,could i do it myself even ?thanks in advance .neal
yes you can do it,take wheel off and remove brake caliper then remove the 4 bolts at bottom of the strut put a jack under bottom ball joint you will see a big nut i think it is 30mm slacken it off then flog it with a big hammer to release ball joint then let jack down slowly remove old one and put new one in its place in reverse order.good look
