I have just had a cam belt fitted as I was squealing down the road....and 4 days later my battery light came on and has stayed on! Does the belt need tightening or is it something...not sure if i have more than one belt? It was a cam belt i had changed ..i have a p reg, vauxhall corsa, no power steering or air con.

nothing to do with cambelt could be a loose or worn
drive belt or it could be a fault with your alternator what you need to do go to your local car parts factor
and ask them to do a battery/alternator test which is usally free
