How do I remove the Blaupunkt radio/cassette from a Vauxhall Corsa?

I have a Vauxhall Corsa 2002 New shape with a blaupunkt radio/cassette installed. I'm wanting to remove the cassette and to replace with a cd player. The panel has 4 screws at each corner but once removed player still cannot be move out?

I have read all the above comments, i have a vauxhall corsa 1.2 and the CD player is standard at the moment, unfortunately i have a stuck CD inside and when i press the eject button its just making a noise like it wants to come out but is obviously jammed. Is there anyway i can get this CD out.

Don't bother running to a dealership or getting removal tools. I just removed my blaupunkt stereo the other day, and I believe they are all the same in regards to removal. Simply find 4 sturdy items that can fit into the four holes in the corners, they'll stay there without you having to hold them in place. A wire coat hanger is probably best. I just used some crappy solid copper wires that were sitting around. Then you can just pull out the stereo like it isn't even attached. I personally didn't need a screwdriver or anything. freakin simple =D

Forget coat hangers and screwdrivers.
The easiest way to do it is by asking your local Vauxhall dealer. I phoned my dealer and they just said to pop round and they'll take it out, totally FREE of charge.
My local dealer has done a few things FREE of charge and I won't go anywhere else.
Never be afraid to ask.

The removal tools are availble from Blue spot .co.uk for £3.99 inc postage if you dont have five hands.

i cut 2 large u shaped peices from a coat hanger and shoved em in either side. pull away from each other and outwards at the same time. Stereo out in 2mins.

Thanks helped loads!

Good luck indeed. The clips that are hidden behind the four holes are tricky to unclip. THere is an internal black metal cage that holds the stereo in place and when you put the "special vauxhall tool" (I used a coat hanger cut into 4 inch lengths but very thin screwdrivers would be better as they don't bend) into the holes you have to press the retaining clips INwards to release them whilst at the same time gently pulling the stereo out. This is a job for about five hands!
As the previous chap mentioned, easing it out with a screwdriver pushed down the sides of the stereo helps as well

There is a special pair of two wire fittings but same effect can be got by inserting equivalent (eg 4 small scredrivers) about 2 inches long deep into each of the fours holes and pressing outwards to disengage the clips holding the set in position. You may need to leverage the set at same time by using another scredriver to gently prise the set on left and right to pull the set away from the fittings. Once loosened from all of these connections the set can easily be removed. Good luck!
