I have an Aiwa dx-c100m and it is blocked in the reset position.

press stop /clear button and power button simultaneously. Push the power button and it will start it's "check" process that could take a few minutes. look to see if the elevator is actually working its way to the top. after which it should be ready to go if working properly.
