sink is leaking,help?

installed new s.s. kitchen sink. where the drain is it leaks. husband put plummers putty around the drain ,then he tightend it up about a month later it started leaking around the drain. i reached under the sink and was abel to move the entire drain.what do i need to do ,to make it stop leaking.. plummers putty didnt work, help

tighten the screw in the middle of the sink waste (thats the bit with the small holes in it where the water goes down) it will be either a slotted screw head or a small bolt.
