bernina minimatic 807, fix it?

my bernina is old but doing really well. right now the hand wheel is tight and sticks while i sew, or try to manually hand wheel the machine. do i just need to oil it? is there something else? i have blown all the dust/material dust out with compressed air and can't find anything obstructing...when the bobbin attachment is in, it seems to be tight, when it's out, it's not tight. any ideas?

Do NOT use WD-40. It is a Water Displacer, not a lubricating oil. Get some of the proper oil from a Bernina dealer.

I have been given a Bernina minimatic 807 but I cannot thread it correctly - all the thread bunches up into a know underneath. Can anyone help

Have a very good look in the raceway area where you put the bobbin case in, there may be a small piece of thread stuck there and that will be enough to make the
machine tight, if you run the machgine whilst it is tight you will put strain on the motor and the motors are not cheap on that machine, oil the moving parts with WD40.
