How can I fix my Cannon MV750i?

My Cannon MV 750i will record well but playback is spoilt by thick greyed out bands, both through the viewfinder and on the screen. The tapes will playback on an alternative camcorder! Is it a simple case of dirty 'playback' heads or a more serious problem and who would conduct the repair?

It is normally caused by tape oxide on tape guides, tape guides getting moved and therefore misaligned.
It is nothing to do with dirty heads.
It is something, you need to go to a good repair shop, not the corner shop.Tricky but not so serious.
