plumbing?

ive just put on new rad in bathroom, filled system to pressure, closest rad to boiler is heating up but after 5 mins pilot light shuts off then comes back on at intervals. no room stat in downstairs flat. other rads heating up very slow. any ideas

SOUNDS LIKE AIR, TURN STAT OFF, OR VERY LOW, AND THEN BLEED ALL RADS, AS IF YOU DONE IT WITH STAT ON IT WILL SUCK AIR IN, MAKING THINGS WORSE.
