I'd say the splines that are left, are just enough to allow it to agitate while empty....
Take the top off the agitator. It should just snap off. Take the bolt out of the agitator. ( you'll probably need a long extension w/ratchet to reach it) Pull the agitator up and off and visually check the plastic splines that the metal splines turn. I'd say the plastic is about stripped out....
Hope this helps..........I need help too, Instead of agitating my washing machine spins in one direction. It wont "swish/swosh" back and forth!!!!!! lol
