How do I fit a Master Socket?

Further to your previous answer, I've a new "fancy" Volex master plate, but it has no A's or B's - just terminals 1-6. Do I need something else?

You are not allowed to fit a Master Socket only BT may. That is because the Master Socket is the demarcation point between your wiring and BT's.

As you said you have faceplate which you are allowed to fit as they plug in to the Test Socket of the BT NTE5 Master socket. Those connectors (or at least two of them) are so that you can connect your extensions to the Master Socket Faceplate.

May I suggest that you get BT to fit a new Master Socket (as they should) because judging by your level of knowledge you are likely to screw things up and then BT will give a a hefty bill and, should you do any real damage, they might want to take you to court.
