Potterton Kingfisher MF RS 60 won't ignite!?

Our Kingfisher boiler has gone out, I suspect the exceptionaly strong winds are to blame! When I try to ignite it, I can hear it clicking and see the spark but it refuses to light. Any ideas?

gas valve full of white powder gas was not getting through but the sound of it trying to ignite bought new gas valve seems to work question is were did the white powder come from (maybe columbia) puzzling if someone could please shed some light to this mystery

Probably same problem my RS60 boiler has. The solenoid in the gas valve has gone, assume your Pilot light is alight.
May be difficult to get the valve as BG say some parts are either discontinued or obsolete.
Whatever you will need a professional to fit it if you can get one.

I got the plumber out, the gas valve was replaced and all is well!
