How do I finalize?

I have a Pioneer DVR - RT500 and though it does record nicely, I can NOT figure out how to finalize my DVD so that I can play it on another DVD player!

Please help... tell me what button to push to finalize the DVD!

You have to make sure you record on the correct disc normally dvd-r, dvd-rw is rewritable but cannot finalize,
