my b1445v samsung washine machine will not drain, i have drained manually and swichted it to drain with the front off and the pump seems to turn ok, but when turning the pump with my finger it turns very notchy as if it is spring loaded, and when it is operating it makes a purring noise, is the pump meant to be like this or does it sound like its done in??

it sounds fine, i have just had to replace my pump for mine becuase my fan has come off,

Hi remove filter and put to drain if you see paddle spinning then you have a blockage , not spinning change pump, for cheapest spares in UK go to Ebay and put asuds-appliance-spares into search box you will find samsung pumps there
