lighting problem better explained?

new light fitting has 3 lights of which 1xblue & 1x brown wire come from each light 1 light unit in total i have connected it to the internal wiring in this order 3 blue=2 black .3brown=black/red tape 3reds masked & yellow green connected this is via a dimmer switch problem being that the only way to turn it on and of is via junction box as it stays on full time . have now disconnected it due to safty issues

Less well explained I think - you fail to mention that the lamps are low energy types...

Low energy lamps typically do not work with dimmer switches. Some manufacturers make low energy dimmable lamps but they are V expensive (£18.49 inc postage = 500 year pay-back).

Fit regular lamps in your light fitting and see what happens?
