My dvd recorder Panasonic ES46V has a permanet U61 error machine won't work I have unplugged it for hours and this still is happening. Do you have any idea how to fix such an error????

Regretfully, this seems to be a major problem with this model. I have had two breakdown the same way (one under guarantee, the other outside) Others have suggested it's a problem with capacitors in the power supply but it does mean a professional repair I'm afraid.
