diplomat dishwasher?

My daughter decided to block our sink with lollipop sticks and our diplomat dishwasher drains from the same point. Hence, I came home yesterday to find main RCD on the consumer unit had tripped. Upon inspection the dishwasher was the fault and it had flooded. I have removed it from the house and taken off the bottom panel and water has got all over the ciculationmotor unit???? Can it be fixed? Do I dry it out and try to run it? Is there any point? Any suggestions?

Thanks. It has had a few days to dry and is sort of working again, but not the full programmed cycle. Searching for instructions as I type. Insurance assessor coming to have look today. Thanks again.

Hi Rob, yes drying the motor out is worth a try.take the base cover off and then play a hair dryer on it and then just let it dry naturally in the garage etc.If it was the blocked sink that made it flood then it will more than likely work okay.If not then it will be about £250 for a new motor fitted with vat and labour included. All the best.
