oven lights but takes about an hour to reach large flame so I can ajust it to proper tempature gril works ok, it's a hygena tower built in oven and grill. Angie

Hi Kev, it sounds like you have a version of regulator that has a thermocouple.This may need replacing.
Before you replace, have a look at the burner and see if it is clean.Sometimes the flames are restricted and the end of the thermocouple is not in the flame so it will not close the regulator to stay alight.
