How do I replace the hose on my kenmore canister vacuum?

I cannot get the pieces that attach the hose to the canister part of my vacuum off.
How can I remove these 3 pieces so that I can reattach the new hose?
It's a 5 year old Kenmore power elite canister vacuum.

You need to remove the hose connection cover to disconnect the hose. It is held on to the connector with 2 sets of 2 plastic tabs. Start by prying at the cover along the edge of the connector. The cover is very thick and pliable, so don't worry about breaking it. When you locate a tab, just pry it back toward the hose. After they're both released, twist the cover off in the direction of the 'threads' on the hose. Disconnect the wires, And TWIST the hose off of the connector.(The tabs that hold the hose onto the connector break easily.)
Install the new hose in reverse order.
