Hello Ray
Read all the replies and requests on your forum.
I also have one of these reliable boilers, and recently the boiler pilot light would not stay ignited
I replaced the thermocouple with a universal one, but to no avail.

Did not realise it could be water pressure problem.

This is just a water heater and not used for central heating.
Only a shower and sink.

Can you advise.

Hi Ray,
I am sure you must have been inundated with similar requests and beg your patience in listening to my plea for your help.
I live in rural Spain and have only the local plumber that can/will help with installing my old water heater in the finca so that at long last I can have hot water.
My heater is a Vaillant Mag 125/7 and the fact that it has three water pipes has completely blown away my little man!
I guess one is inlet, one is outlet and the other must be for a tap if it is mounted over a sink.
I tried emailing you at golikearocketmail.com and can't succeed and I really need to see a labelled diagram of the inside, so that I can guide the plumber. Talk about the blind leading the blind!!!
Many Thanks.

Hi, we are trying to turn the heat on and it is not working. The pilot is on. The air is out of radiators..., The thermostat has been lowered and then increased . It makes a brief lighting sound but then, it goes off. What else can we do?

PS Not sure where the "electric switch" is????

Hi Ray,

Saw your offer of help on how to mend it site - and wondered if you could help me with my problem below:-

I have a Gas( Butane) fired Vaillant Boiler that appears to restrict the water pressure through its valve to an extent that won't allow the burner to 'fire-up' fully if not at all.

I've opened up the water valve and checked the diaphram and all its water ways for blockages - which all appear to be clear and fine.

I thought I may have put the main spring acting on the diaphram on the wrong side - tried both ways to no effect .

Do you have any ideas of what may be wrong ? or an 'exploded' assembly' of the water valve and its assocaited components and how they should fit to-gether ?

Many thanks - in anticipation of your help/assistance.(my e-m :- allshepherd@yahoo.co.uk)
