boiler fires up for a bit then stops?

My boiler seems to fire up ok say first thing in the morning, but goes off quickly and doesn't come back on for ages if at all. Changed pump, cleaned system to no avail. Could it be a thermostat problem in the boiler itself? ( boiler is Ideal Classic NF260 , not sure how old)

The flue fan needs to be running all the time the burner is running. Perhaps your flue fan is stopping when it gets hot.
