How do I replace the drive belt on a Kenwood Food Processor FP476?

Hi. The drive belt has either broken or just slipped off on my Kenwood FP 476 food processor. How do I open the casing to replace it. I have removed the 3 tamper-proof screws from the underside and the 5 screws from the top where the blender goes, but it still won't come apart. Can't see any more screws etc holding it together. Can anyone help?

I followed the instructions above and was able to fix my food processor. Thanks you for posting.

My summary...
You will need: 8mm Fork Key Tool; long, thin, posi-drive Tool;standard posi-drive Tool (optional)

1. Remove 3 screws from base with fork key tool
2. Remove liquidiser cover
3. Remove 3 screws with posi-drive tool and reduce cap & metal plate
4. Remove 2 screws with posi-drive tool
5. Remove 'pulse' button
6. Remove single screw with posi-drive tool
7. Lift top off processor body
8. Remove 2 screws on side of chasis casing with long, think tool (use magnetic to keep screws)
9. Remove cap from spindle
10. Separate body from base taking care of wires.

You can now access the belt (or undertake other repairs)

I also took some photos that others might find helpful

Yes we succeded in removing the bottom (it is necessary if you want to change the belt)! To remove the base, once you have already took off the top, you have to remove two screws that block the electric motor on the base. You can see them between the motor and the lateral cover. You'll need a long and thin screwdriver.

I can get the top off. Remove three screws in blender bayonet fitting, the fitting then comes off. Remove the pulse button and the small screw underneth.

All that's holding it on now is a hidden plastic clip in the opposite corner to the pulse button. This clip is out of sight and I can't see a way of "springing" it, I just pulled up and away from the pulse button. Good luck!

Can anyone get the base off? My patient started working again so I backed off, but it's time will probably come so please if you know......
