i bought an lcd mikomi tv in argos it not a year old i lost my receipt and argos wont exchange it i cant seem to find any number for the manafacturer or argos head office can anyone help.

yes you do have to give them your details in order to ensure that every customer has a TV license, strange but efficient.

oh if anyone has a TV License but is under someone elses name and you give a retailer your name instead of the account holder then you're gonna get loads of hassle as the sales assistant didn't mention to me.

Mikomi is an Argos own Brand. You can't buy Mikomi anywhere else and so you MUST have bought it from Argos.

In the UK you are required by law to fill in a form when you buy a TV set and therefore there will be a record of your purchase. (Don't know about Ireland.)
