Why does the sound work but no picture on my Toshiba CF2771A?

The sound works on this TV, but one day the picture just didnt come on. No symptoms beforehand, just turned the TV on one day and no picture appears (black screen). Any ideas?

This is usually due to failure of the line output (flyback) transformer and/or line output transistor. Transformer = Expensive repair cost. Transistor = reasonable repair cost.

unplug your tv , give it a rest, then plug back in and turn it on. it worked for me.
