How can I fix my Conia M550 DVD Player?

How can I fix my Conia M550 DVD Player? The audio is fine but there is no picture. We have tried the yellow, white and red cables in every sequence possible and nothing works. It has worked in the past with the same cable connections on both of our TV's so there is no reason why it should not work now. One is a Panasonic and the other is a KONKA TV. The display on the DVD is working fine and the timer runs. The sound is perfect, just can't seem to get a picture. PLEASE HELP! :-)

Check in the player's options menu that U accidentally haven't changed the player to NTSC (or to PAL, whichever standard is NOT correct for your region).

You should buy an S-Video cable (available from your video shop for about $10) and use it to replace the yellow cable. Then use the white and red for sound.

The problem I have is that I'm losing my colour (only b&W picture) every 6 months. I can fix it by buying a new S-Video cable but this doesn't seem to make sense.

Anyway, give it a shot.
