My LiteOn (LVW-5001A) will not open. When it's first turn on I can hear it making the noise to try and open then after two minutes it stops.

These regularly stick. I had to take the topcover off of mine and give the dvd housing a tap on the top.It then worked for a while before returning to its clicking /not opening stage~ as well as its opening/closing stage without you even having to pressing anything.

Sounds like its jammed or been forced.
Look at the front of the tray and you should see a very small hole. Push the end of a paper clip into the hole whilst at the same time use a second clip with a small hook at the end (like this ¬ ) to pull at the centre of the top lip of the tray
