I have changed the battery on my Mondeo, I now need to enter the audio keycode to get the radio working. I have the code but it appears to be the wrong one as it is not being taken by the radio. Can anyone help me get the right code

Hello

I finally have removed the radio (good old e-bay) I took the car to my local Ford Garage and after the bloke said "these can be a real pain to take out and it will take hours" I thought do it myself it will be much less trouble. Anyway the keys arrived and less than 5 minutes later I had the radio out, the radio back in, the computer turned on had a cup of tea and am now on this website. My radio serial number is M298878 If anyone can help me now that would be fantastic, thanks so far for all your help, you guys are the dogs danglies.

Any hints on how to get the radio out as I dont have any keys and the spotty faced youth in Halfords was pretty clueless (no surprise there!!!) although he did come out and have a look but was not sure of which key to use. Thanks

Am I right in assuming the serial number is on the side of the radio case which I will have to take out of the housing with the small metal prongs?
