ford capri radio?

hi i have recently been given a cd player (JVC KDS 5050) for my ford capri i think it is roughly a 1987ish i never had aradio in the car when i got it as it is a project for me too rebuild, anyway i tried fitting it but unfortunatly the player has 2 seperate connectors one with 10 pins and one with 4.
this is a problem as the car only has one connector with about 10 pins (i havent counted so might be more) the larger connector is to short for the connector in the car and if it did there wuld still be the small connector left.
what can i do can i change or add a connector i dont really have oney to spend on a specialist.
PLEASE HELP !!!
